At BAK Bulk Services Ltd, we offer premium whiskey storage solutions designed to meet the unique needs of our customers and their casks. Our newly constructed, state-of-the-art facilities provide a secure and climate-controlled environment to ensure optimal maturation.
As the largest private owned maturation site in Ireland, we can offer our clients over 650,000 sqft and 600,000 cask space of secure, sprinkler-controlled warehousing for their whiskey casks.
Located at Dunleer, Co. Louth in a prime rural location on the M1 corridor between Dublin and Belfast we are perfectly positioned to support the growth of Ireland's world-renowned spirits sector.
Our sites are fully secured with motion sensing and voice over CCTV overseen by 24-hour monitoring. All warehouses have been constructed and certified as full ATEX compliant. Adhering to strict State and Industry policies our facilities are fully compliant with Revenue, HSE, Bond and Insurance providers.
Looking to the future, BAK has just acquired planning permission for a further 20 warehouse units totalling 211,000 sqft at our Dunleer facility. This will offer our customers a further 193,000 cask spaces continuing the company’s commitment and investment in the Irish Whiskey Industry. Construction to begin in late 2025.
Cask Handling
We provide expert cask handling services, from careful movement to precise placement, ensuring the integrity and quality of every cask.
All lifting equipment are ATEX rated and certified to zone 2 classification operated by experienced and trained personnel holding forklift, ADR, manual handling and safe pass accreditations.
With a throughput of up to 3000 casks per week our team has a deep understanding of the whiskey maturation process, ensuring your casks are handled and stored with optimal safety to preserve and enhance the quality and integrity of your whiskey.
BAK will take care of all Customs and Excise administration and regulatory requirements. Using DRAMS Software solutions our administration staff are trained to meet the specific requirements of distillers, barrel warehouse keepers, and cask brokers by supporting our customers to optimise the management of their maturing spirit inventory to meet current and future demand.
Transport & Logistics
At BAK Bulk Services Ltd, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional transport and logistics services. We offer reliable and secure cask transportation, ensuring each cask is moved safely and efficiently from distillery to warehouse to customer.
All vehicles in our fleet are fitted with the latest secure tracking devices, keeping customers, Revenue and staff always informed in what is an ever-changing daily environment.
Our drivers are fully trained, compliant and experienced with the highest tier of ADR training for the transport of hazardous goods. This ensures all loads are collected and transported safely and securely.
The transport of our customers ADR Products are via Curtainsider and our newly acquired Walking Floor trailers that ensure compliance with new UK and Northern Ireland ADR regulations.
